Zweilund Islands

Go to Havens of the Great Bay

The barren, dark Zweilund Islands are a mystery to the peoples of the Great Bay. That anyone can exist on these islands is a tribute to perversity. Yet, some call it “home”.

The people

The Zweilunds breed hardy folk – many of them desperate. Piracy is not an uncommon proffession among the inhabitant, though it is not the only one. The Zweilunds are home to a modest mining community; the islands hold some minor metal deposits, foremost of which is iron. When the weather allows for it there is also limited fishing to be done, while the island of Uelzau holds the small farming-village of Berg Bucht.

Once a year, before winter hits, the Zweilunds host a grand market lasting a week where all manners of goods can be found – including some that would not be all together legal to acquire in other parts of the Great Bay. During this week the population increases dramatically, not least of all the already sizable population of prostitutes.
